Services We OfferSwedish massage
Swedish massage is the most commonly offered and best-known type of massage. It uses a firm but gentle pressure to improve the circulation, ease muscle aches and tension, improve flexibility and create relaxation. The Massage Therapist will use massage gel or lotion to facilitate making long, smooth strokes over the body. Swedish massage is done with the person covered by a sheet, a technique called "draping". One part of the body uncovered, massaged, and then covered up before moving on to another part of the body. Chair massage
Chair massage is a short massage, anywhere from five to 30 minutes, done through the clothing. In a Chair massage session we will focus on key tension areas in the back, neck, shoulders and arms. We will bring a specially designed ergonomic massage chairs so you and your friends can just sit down in our chair and get ready to “melt away”. Chair massage works well in all kinds of environments, since no one has to disrobe. Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage is a type of massage that goes a little deeper into the structures of the muscle and fascia. Deep tissue massage uses many of the same movements and techniques as Swedish massage but with greater pressure. It is also a more focused type of massage, as the therapist works to release chronic muscle tension or knots. Deep Tissue Massage is one of the most frequently requested modalities. When blended with regular Swedish massage, Deep Tissue massage leaves you feeling “longer, looser, and lighter”. Pregnancy Massage
Pregnancy massage is massage therapy specifically tailored for the expectant mother's needs. It is also called pre-natal massage. The pregnant mother's body will be positioned properly and supported during the entire massage, using different pillows. This ensures complete comfort and safety for both the mother and baby. Pregnancy massage has been found to reduce stress, decrease swelling in the arms and legs, and relieve aches and pains in muscles and joints. Pregnancy Massage has shown to greatly reduce lower back pain in the expecting mother. The human touch provides both comfort and emotional support. Massage Therapy is not recommend during the first trimester. Hot Stone Massage
The therapist normally leaves heated stones in specific points along your spine, or in the palms of your hand, or even between your toes to improve the flow of energy in your body. The therapist will also use traditional strokes of Swedish massage while holding a heated stone. The hot stones are usually made of basalt, a type of rock that is rich in iron, so they retain heat. River rocks are normally used because they are so smooth - they have been smoothed over time by the river's current. The stones are of various shapes and sizes. The heat of the stones helps muscles release more quickly than in traditional massage. |
